Happy Sunday.

This week, I was lucky enough to see two dear friends. I don’t see enough of them in normal times, and that was before COVID.

First was a girlfriend lunch on Thursday. She has been my ride-or-die for over 35 years. We each grabbed takeout lunch and met at a local park. I come here all the time with Husband. I love the beautiful flower gardens and the animals.

The mini horses are so cute. One horse was trying to get a nap, but his barn mate wasn’t having it. He was nuzzling him and being a pest until the sleepy horse finally just got up. I wouldn’t have wanted to be the sleepy horse, but it was pretty amusing.

I was reminded of the Reddit thread that made me literally laugh out loud. A lot of people don’t realize horses do lay down, with the thought that they sleep standing up.

Last evening we had dinner with another couple. She and I met while working together and have been friends for about 25 years. We enjoyed grilled pizza outside in their lovely backyard. She and her husband have a well-oiled system of making pizzas and getting them onto the grill. So delicious! We have never tried pizza on the grill. Definitely love a homemade pizza!

I brought strawberry rhubarb pie, which we enjoyed with their homemade gelato. So good!

What caught my eye this week

Movie of the night. A fun site to select a film to watch. You pick categories including genre, length, and language, then select your streaming services.

Straight out of a fairytale. These photos are gorgeous.

The four quarters method. How to not let a bad moment turn into a bad day. Guilty!

Why am I so hard on myself? Is this a universal thing? I think so.

How to make your hydrangeas turn color. I had no idea this was possible! My plant has lovely pale pink blooms.

Now I am hungry for tuna salad. Why am I not surprised that Martha nailed it. 😉

How to pit a peach. I have two really delectable-looking peaches getting ripe on my kitchen counter. I have to try this!

How cats learn names from humans. I have never been under the illusion that any of my cats knew their names. Not that I don’t think they are smart, but I call them so many nicknames other than their given name!

Bailey is one smart cat. I am pretty sure she knows her name. 🙂

Enjoy your day.
