Parmesan herb baked shrimp is a quick, easy main dish to serve in a variety of ways. A simple mix of flavorful ingredients creates this delicious main dish. Shrimp is high in protein and low in fat, making it an ideal seafood option for a healthy diet.
Elements
Panko Breadcrumbs: Light and crunchy panko breadcrumbs work very well in this recipe. You could use regular breadcrumbs if that is what you have available.
Parmesan Cheese: We keep a block of fresh Parmesan cheese on hand at all times.
Thyme: Fresh or dried thyme works well. Rosemary or parsley would also work well. I am looking forward to fresh herbs on the deck this spring. 😉
Garlic Powder: Garlic powder is a good choice for this recipe to distribute garlic flavor over the shrimp.
Shrimp: I buy bags of large shrimp that are peeled with tails off. Some people like the presentation of shrimp with tails on. Much easier to eat without tails.
Butter: What is the saying, butter makes everything better? It’s true!

Preparation
Preheat the oven.
Decide on your side dish to serve with Parmesan herb baked shrimp. As shrimp cook very quickly, you will likely want to get your veggies in the oven or your pasta water boiling before starting the shrimp.
Add shrimp, breadcrumbs, parm, and seasonings to a bowl. Stir to combine and coat the shrimp thoroughly with the seasoning mix.
Add the shrimp to a shallow baking dish in a single layer. and sprinkle seasoning mix over the shrimp. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the top of the shrimp.
Bake for 15 minutes. I turned on the broiler for a few minutes to crisp up the breadcrumbs and make the topping a little crunchy.

Serve immediately. This shrimp was delicious alongside broccoli cheddar risotto. They also worked well with pasta. A simple baked potato and roasted vegetables would also be a delicious dinner.
