Weekend Randoms 1/24/2026

Happy weekend.

The squirrels continue to appreciate their feeding station. I used to think squirrels just hunkered down when the temperature dipped below zero. But a fresh offering of food is enough motivation to coax them out. Grey and black squirrels comprise most of the visitors to the feeder. A red squirrel makes an occasional appearance.

The squirrels did manage to create a hole in the wire at the base of the feeder. Hubby plans to fix it once it’s not so brutally cold outside. I am more than ready for some milder weather. I know it’s too early for spring, but days and days of below-zero weather get old.

My primary use of Twitter was up-to-the-minute news about sports. Twitter was always a little toxic; Musk has taken X to the TOXIC AF category. I stopped using my account, but missed the sports news. Enter BlueSky, which has become a great spot for sports news.

One of my goals this year surrounds organization, which includes some decluttering. I can’t argue with anything on this list. If you drink coffee, you have too many coffee mugs. 😉

I listen to a lot of podcasts. But maybe I need to throw some music on Spotify more often.

Let people misunderstand you. I love this so much.

Stay warm and have a good weekend.
