This is another photo of Lake Superior and the lift bridge, taken from the rose garden. I get a little picture-happy every time we go. It’s just so beautiful.
Several years ago, we discovered Park Point, a beach off Lake Superior. We love beach walks. Duluth isn’t San Diego, but it is still delightful.
Football season is ramping up. Well, preseason so far, but it’s football! We are fond of our homemade pizza with this delicious crust.
So many good podcasts out there. I have listened to several of these from start to finish. Others, I have caught an episode here and there.
Speaking of good podcasts, Samin Nosrat is the co-host of Home Cooking. No surprise, the podcast made the above list. Sadly, the podcast is no longer active, but well worth a listen. It was a bright spot for me early in the COVID pandemic. Samin wrote a great article on her Substack about herbs and how to use them.
Bailey and, by default, Bella, are back to being confined to the basement at night. Bailey is a vocal girl and will randomly sing loudly at all hours. All hours, including between 9 pm and 4 am. I have never been a great sleeper, and a noisy cat night after night doesn’t help.
Corralling the cats in the basement every night has become an adventure. They may be nearly 16 years old, but they are still nimble and pretty smart!
