Happy weekend.
We’ve just returned from a four-day trip to Duluth. The extensive rose garden is always a highlight for me. It was in full bloom. So beautiful.
Last year, we wandered into Va Bene for lunch, and I have been looking forward to going back ever since. This year, we made dinner reservations. It’s a busy place! We sat in the enclosed solarium again with a lovely view of Lake Superior. I have never been a fan of eating outside, but this is perfect.
I had maple-glazed salmon with risotto. Hubby had pasta with sausage. So good.
Long car rides make me stiff and sore. I suppose this serves as another reminder to focus on my posture.
We worried a little about the kitties while we were gone. The girls are getting older, after all. Bailey has had bladder infections, and Bella has had intestinal blockages. So we worry when we aren’t around to monitor them. We were relieved to find them happy and healthy when we got home. I do think they missed us, though. 😉
Shortly after we got back, I was happy to see them in their usual spots in the living room. Cats are such creatures of habit.
