Happy weekend.
The last weekend of 2024! I would ask what happened to this past year, but the truth is time passes quickly.
This time of year, I like to look through my personal journal to review the past 12 months. I go into the review thinking that not much happened out of the ordinary day-to-day. But I am always pleasantly surprised at all we accomplished.
We aren’t the only ones who like to look back on what the past year has taught us. This is a fantastic list of what a year, or lifetime, can teach us.
This list and this list have some reading ideas this winter. Signing up for library cards and access to the Hoopla app has been a great way for both of us to expand our reading. I have been thrilled to find books I wanted to buy available as ebooks through the library. We were also surprised they have audiobooks and videos too.
We just finished season 2 of Shrinking on AppleTV+. What a fantastic series! It’s funny, uplifting, and heartwarming, and the characters are wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about it. I can’t decide if Ted Lasso or Shrinking is my favorite series on AppleTV+. They are both so darn good.
This Gilmore Girls-themed commercial is pretty cute. It created some theories about the cliffhanger created by the last episode.
The snake plant was named the 2025 Plant of the Year. Ours has been going strong for eight years.
