Happy weekend.
Last weekend, I made a small batch of sugar cookie cutouts and cranberry shortbread bars. Baking is easily my favorite part of the holiday season.
Last night, Hubby and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner out. This has been our gift to each other for the last few years. I couldn’t decide between salmon and walleye, which are both delicious. Hubby will tell you that I always order the salmon, which is usually accurate. But I ultimately chose the walleye over farro rice and carrot purée. It was sublime.
Cold and flu season is in full force. We have been lucky thus far, but there has been a lot of hacking, coughing, and sneezing around. This is a good reminder of how to navigate this time of year. I think that wearing a mask when you are ill, or for any reason, should be normal behavior.
This article came to mind when I saw Uncrustables in the grocery store. An easy source of energy, and who doesn’t love peanut butter and jelly? Apparently, NFL players do!
What age are you in your head? I can happily say I have to remind myself how old I am. For the most part, age is just a number and people should let perception get in the way of reality.
Hubby created this photo using Image Playground. Viking kitty! 🙂
I post so many photos of Bella and Bailey lying down and curled up. They look so cute that way! But here is proof that they do indeed get up on occasion. Bella was sitting in the kitchen yesterday in the sun.
Have a great weekend.
