Happy Sunday.
So what is our favorite, the Thanksgiving dinner or the leftovers?
In the day leading up to Thanksgiving, I had several conversations discussing how we all freaking love the leftovers! Especially the turkey. What’s not to love about soup, pot pie, or just a really good turkey sandwich? Personally, I am always a fan of being able to heat up delicious leftovers for an easy meal.
Even though it was just us, we still did the whole traditional Thanksgiving meal with roast turkey, potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, and a sweet potato dish. I also made some cranberry sauce and, of course, pumpkin pie for dessert.
I had to snap a quick photo of my plate. Quick because I was very ready to dig in. I kind of liked how my food looked in the sunlight and shadows. Apparently, this is all the rage in food photography.
This list of gut health tips is good to keep in mind this time of year.
Sunrise on Thanksgiving morning. It was so nice to have a relaxed morning to take time to look at the sunrise. I had a lot of food to make, but we weren’t on a strict timeframe, so it was very laid back.
We have a pet door leading to the basement. It is handy when we need to corral the cats downstairs for any reason. We also like the ability to close the door but still allow the cats access.
Bella makes a thumping noise whenever she goes through the pet door. She is the larger of the two cats so we were first concerned she didn’t fit very well. After observing her making it through the door without making a sound, we have since decided she makes a conscious effort to thump through the door. Silly girl. 😉
Have a great weekend.
