Happy long weekend!
So thankful for some warm weather this weekend!
Flower shopping on Saturday with a little crazy, but I was happy to get the containers done for the front of the house. Not completely sure I am done flower shopping, but I have what I absolutely wanted to get done. These purple hydrangeas didn’t leave the store, but aren’t they gorgeous?
We enjoyed Sunday brunch and couldn’t have been happier with our choices. I had an omelet with asparagus, wild mushrooms, and goat cheese along with breakfast potato, and a biscuit. Hubby ordered a side of lemon ricotta pancakes. I was thrilled as I have been very much hoping to try them. They did not disappoint!
These mimosa flights are a fun signature of the restaurant. Every weekend they change up the recipes. This weekend featured flavors of strawberry, rhubarb, lime, and basil. So good!
Our community has a sculpture walk and the new pieces for the year were recently installed. Thankfully, the weather cooperated, and we were able to walk and take in the latest offerings.
This Prince-inspired piece was a particular favorite of mine. Like in the rest of my life, I tend to gravitate to bright colors, especially purple. 🙂
What caught my eye this week
I wrote a post on my thoughts on recent events and the ongoing gun control debate.
Mandy Moore deserves recognition for her work on This Is Us. She deserves accolades for her entire body of work in the series, but her portrayal of a woman dealing with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease was incredible.
Betta fish are beautiful, and these photos are simply incredible!
Bat in the books. Could that little bat be any cuter?? The answer is no. 🙂
Rhino population growth. This is fantastic news. Rhinos are amazing animals.
Finding accurate news and media seems to get harder all the time. Ways to fact-check your media consumption.
Enjoy your weekend!
