The Lynx
Keep expectations low and maybe be pleasantly surprised. This was our motto when the Minnesota Lynx started their season this year. The WNBA has a lot of powerhouse teams, and we honestly didn’t see the Lynx being able to run with them this year. We didn’t have much confidence with two new players in their starting lineup. But they have been terrific! They are in second place in the league heading into their playoff series with the Phoenix Mercury later today. Behind superstar Napheesa Collier, they have a good chance to win a WNBA title.
The Vikings
I have a difficult time with low expectations where the Vikings are concerned. Even when I realistically know I should, I can’t help thinking, and hoping, they will shock the world. Sure enough, here we are at 2-0, including a great win against one of the strongest teams in the league. The Vikings have a long way to go. The next three weeks against tough teams will tell a lot. But so far so good!
Another football season, another year of experimenting and perfecting our homemade pizza. The fluffy, chewy crust on my last two pizzas was phenomenal!
Why do removable sports bras even exist? I have been asking this for years! They are nearly universally considered a pain. Leave them out or sew them in place.
Why do cats knock things over? Because they are curious and get bored. Cats love to bat things, including prey, around with their paws. I told Hubby a joke I heard years ago about how we know the earth is round. Cats would have knocked everything off the edge if the earth was flat. 😉
The Kay Scarpetta series is a go and the cast sounds terrific! These are some of my all-time favorite books. I can’t wait.
A new season of The Great British Baking Off starts on Netflix Friday.
