Happy Sunday!
A few weeks ago I was ready for some hot weather. It was unseasonably chilly-ish and I was annoyed. It was summer, I thought, it should be hot. Fast forward to today, hot and humid.
We enjoy live music and our local community does a music festival every year in late July. It is always roasting outside. We attended a couple of years ago, fun, but so freaking hot. I was bummed not to go yesterday. Listen to music, have some food and a beer, it’s fun. But with the heat, it likely would have gotten miserable quickly.
On the topic of heat. We are practicing keeping our bodies cool by staying in the air conditioning. I am hoping to go for a run this morning, we will see.
What a week in the political world. President Biden put his country before himself and decided not to run for reelection. Democrats have quickly united behind Vice President Kamala Harris. It’s been energizing and exciting, and I love it.
I finished the Simone Biles documentary on Netflix. It’s good. So interesting to see what she has gone through personally. The woman is amazing, she has multiple gymnastics elements named after her. We are watching the Olympics now. I like watching all the events, but especially looking forward to basketball, soccer, and gymnastics.
I loathe the word staycation. Being home is the best, don’t get me wrong. I don’t need to travel far and wide all the time. But if I take a vacation, I like to get away, even if it is close to home. These ideas add fun to the everyday between actual vacations are great.
This made me think of desserts in my workplace breakroom. We can’t just cut normal pieces of anything. My go-to move is to take half a piece, then inevitably return for the other half! 😉
I wonder if Hubby can relate to this. Hangry is the worst!
Pretty Bailey
I was doing some yoga in the basement and Bailey decided to sit beside me. So cute.
Enjoy the hot summer weather and have a good weekend!
