I made quiche for breakfast this weekend. Doesn’t it sound spring-y? 🙂
I had been looking for an excuse to use this pretty ceramic quiche pan. It had belonged to my mother-in-law.
Our toaster oven has been finicky for a while. It works, but the control panel is wearing out. We use the toaster oven a lot. Hubby noticed a deal on a new, updated model that includes an air fryer and dehydrator feature, so we ordered it, and it arrived on Friday. I used the new oven to bake the quiche for yesterday morning. It worked great, but I was nervous watching the quiche puff up over the edges. I was imagining a burnt mess on the bottom of our brand-new oven. Oy!
Luckily the quiche remained contained in the pan and it was scrumptious!
It is also very much still soup season. I couldn’t have made this comforting chicken soup on a better evening. Last Tuesday was windy and chilly with a rain/snow mix. Slurping on a hot bowl of soup was just the ticket.
Rewatchable movies can be such a comfort. The Harry Potter series, The Devil Wears Prada, While You Were Sleeping, The Birdcage, and so many comic book movies come to mind.
On the other side of the fence, some shows and books aren’t worth continuing. A good character can keep me going for quite a while. These days there are so many options it’s easier to find something else to watch.
I don’t even consider Reddit a social network, but I know I spend more time there than any other social media site.
The NFL draft is still a month away. There are about a million theories out there as to what the Vikings will do with their draft picks. Meantime, I enjoyed reliving some of these moments. 🙂
My photo library is full of sleeping cats. I can’t help it. They look so adorable when they are curled up. Bailey is loving the new cat bed.
Have a good weekend.
