Happy Sunday. Currently, I am craving warm and cozy in the midst of dark, cold and dreary.
Minnesota in January isn’t most people’s favorite thing. January is the coldest month of the year and along with the cold we see minimal sunlight. These days I am driving in the dark both to and from work. Other than a quick peek out the back hallway windows I don’t see the sun on workdays.
While I like to think my moods aren’t dictated by things like sunlight; I have to admit days and days without natural light gets to be a downer.
Then the events of this past week….
I am thankful Wednesday was a full work day. Had I been home, I no doubt would have closely watched the events either on the news or via internet. Horrific doesn’t even begin to describe it.
So this weekend, I am watching ridiculous amounts of NFL playoff football, baking muffins for Hubby and nesting at home.
What caught my eye this week:
President-elect Biden’s pledge to ramp up the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine. I was ecstatic to receive my first dose this past week: absolutely no side effects other than the expected mild soreness in my arm.
The amazing Stacey Abrams and her work in Georgia.
I keep reading about weighted blankets. Tempted
Experiences over Things: This made me think of someday being able to take vacations and how precious those memories and experiences are in my life.
We don’t need to Detox: Treating yourself is not toxic and you do not need to detox.
Have a warm, cozy weekend.
