Weekend Randoms 9/6/2025

Happy weekend.

I think this is true every year, but it’s been an unusual gardening year. The rain, the stifling heat, and the humidity; every day was different.

Last year, small tomatoes were the rule. I have good-sized tomatoes this year, along with tiny little peppers. They are mini peppers, and they are truly mini! Hubby finds them amusing, but they taste good, and they are adorable. 😉

Gardening is an experiment every year.

Those fresh tomatoes are making my weekday lunch salads extra tasty. We are having sandwiches today for a quick lunch before we attend a music festival. I am already looking forward to the sliced tomatoes.

Introverts and meditation. Introverts have a loud mind. The first sentence of this article had me. I try to stop and take a deep breath at least once a day. This is probably the closest I have ever been to meditation. I am intrigued.

I do believe in a morning routine to start the day on the right note. Mine has evolved over the years, starting with deciding to exercise right away in the morning. Because that is the only way it happens!

Ten Midwest vacation destinations. We are big fans of Duluth, which made the list. Galena was a fun stop one year on our way to Chicago. They couldn’t have been more different. Galena is about small town charm, and Chicago is big city fun. I enjoyed both.

Speaking of Chicago, the Vikings open their season against the Bears on Monday night. I can’t wait!

Have a lovely weekend.
