Weekend Randoms 9/1/2024

Happy Sunday.

I always plan a meal using the outdoor grill at least once over Labor Day Weekend. It’s a challenge to plan menus ahead of time. It can be windy, raining, miserably hot, or unseasonably cold. The weather has gotten so unpredictable.

This year we lucked out, it’s gorgeous!

I love to do Sunday brunch when a long weekend comes around. I had my favorite build-your-own omelet with mushrooms, asparagus, and goat cheese. Hubby had eggs & grits. We split an order of Pain Perdu, otherwise known as the most delicious French toast you can imagine.

We bought a new toaster oven with an air fryer back in March. I confess to still figuring out the nuances of what works well in an air fryer versus a traditional oven. Roasted red peppers jumped out at me from this list.

Is this a thing? I eat Greek yogurt every single day and it has never occurred to me to dump the occasional liquid that forms on top. It’s beneficial! Just stir it in. 🙂

This soup sounds like a great addition to my lunches when the weather turns cold.

We have had a snake plant for over 8 years. I bought it as it was described as easy to care for and non-toxic for cats, both non-negotiable as far as I am concerned.

We don’t currently subscribe to Apple TV+, but I have a list of content for when we sign up again. I am looking forward to another season of Bad Sisters.

I like the idea of my driver’s license in my Apple Wallet. Hopefully, Minnesota will make it available soon.

How cute is this jersey calf!? We went to the State Fair this past week. It started stressful as the fair opening was delayed due to storms the previous night. We did find some good food. The tacos I mentioned last week were worth the hype.

Enjoy this beautiful Labor Day Weekend!
