Happy Sunday.
Yup, that is me up there riding a carousel. Let’s just say it has been a few years! We went to Wild Nights at the Minnesota Zoo, one of the 18+ evenings the zoo hosts, with food, adult beverages, and live music. They also waived the cost of a carousel ride. We walked by a few times, then finally decided to go for it. Hubby sat behind me on a bench, I rode a warthog. Ha.
It was a chilly evening, with temperatures in the low 60’s and breezy. I didn’t expect to need my heavy sweatshirt in the middle of August.
Nur-D, a hip-hop artist from Minneapolis, was warming up when we walked by. Even just warming up, they sounded great! We missed their performance, but we heard there was a wait to get into the amphitheater to see them. We did see Chase & Ovation, a Prince tribute band. It was fun.
As I mentioned last week, we are watching a lot of Olympic coverage. But I didn’t see this! A whale decided to get in the action on the last day of women’s surfing.
So happy for the Team USA women’s soccer team. With a new coach and limited experience, I didn’t expect them to win the gold medal. As expected, a gold medal for Team USA men’s basketball yesterday and I fully expect the women will do the same later today. Whoop!

The Thursday Murder Club book series is coming to the screen. So far, I have read three of the four books. The characters are so good and this cast is fantastic! I am already picturing Helen Mirren at Elizabeth.
