Let’s get this out of the way now. How can it possibly be August?! I still have summer clothes I need to wear.
Hubby survived his birthday celebration. I am so glad we decided to see Deadpool & Wolverine. I knew I would like it, but it was even better than I expected.
Otherwise, this week, we have been watching a ton of Olympic coverage. As I wrote this post I watched the USA women’s soccer (okay-football) team take on Japan. They won, just barely.
Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams are doing well. Napheesa Collier from the Minnesota Lynx and Anthony Edwards from the Minnesota Timberwolves are doing well.
I am willing to bet even people who haven’t watched a second of the Olympics have still heard of Pommel Horse Guy. You know, the guy with the glasses. Clark Kent sitting on the sidelines then Superman during the competition. Lucky for him, he doesn’t have to rely on his vision during competition.
The gymnastics competitors, both men and women, are beyond amazing. Simone Biles has been her incredible self, and I was so happy for Minnesotan Suni Lee.
Turkey’s Olympic shooter has also become an internet sensation. He looked so casual, hand in his pocket like he just showed up that day and decided to compete. Then he wins a Silver Metal.
Kamala Harris is expected to announce her Vice President this week. We think Mark Kelly would be the perfect choice and I would bet that he is her choice. Governor Walz is fantastic, but I want him to stay in Minnesota for a few more years.
I used to avoid naps even if I was exhausted, so I wouldn’t screw up my already sketchy sleep. But I have come to appreciate a short 10-15 minute nap to help me rejuvenate.

Have a lovely weekend.
