Happy weekend.
September seems like the month of outdoor music events in Minnesota. Makes sense. Typically, the oppressive heat and humidity have come to an end. Listening to live music outside on a sunny, crisp autumn day is delightful.
We went to a couple of outdoor music events. The weather was perfect for one and cold and rainy for the other. With how unpredictable the weather and everything else have become, it is expected.
I hate to jinx this, but so far so good with the Vikings season! Two divisional wins under their belt. That is huge! Fingers crossed they are 3-0 after tomorrow.
The Minnesota Lynx start their playoff run this weekend. I am hopeful, but nervous. They have been on a skid lately. But they have been the best team in the league all season. Here’s to hoping they bounce back and regain their form.
I was surprised to see that reading for pleasure has been dropping over the years. Maybe it’s just the people I follow, but I feel like lots of people read. I definitely prefer ebooks on my Kindle to audiobooks, and studies show comprehension is better with reading than with listening. Reading is part of my nighttime routine, even if it’s just a chapter.
I have this book saved in my Hoopla list.
