Happy weekend.
Last month, I shared a post about food photography. I learned early on, while trying to produce appealing photos for the blog, that lighting is extremely important. Lighting is actually critical for any photography, like, for instance, cats. While Bella is an adorable subject who rarely takes a bad photo, the lighting at dusk one evening made this lovely photo. No filters or editing needed, just a gorgeous kitty.
Hubby and I use Spotify to listen to music, and I also listen to podcasts. I was excited to see that Peloton workouts are now available on Spotify. YouTube is a wonderful resource to find skilled trainers sharing workout videos. But I am also up for new content.
Dining outdoors can benefit your mental health. Eating alfresco can lower stress, invigorate the senses, and improve social connections. I will be the first to admit that dining outside isn’t my thing. It’s not that a meal outdoors on a perfect sunny day doesn’t sound wonderful. But it is so often too cold, too hot, windy, or the bugs are a problem. We do plan to wait for one of these perfect Minnesota summer days for an outdoor lunch or dinner.
Fear-mongering about food has reached new heights with the MAHA movement, and I find it exhausting. That’s why I was happy to see this list of three ingredients to avoid when cooking.
Have a lovely weekend.
