Happy weekend.
I walked into my hairstylist’s booth this past week, and since we live in Minnesota, the first topic was weather. It happened to be gorgeous and sunny that day. We discussed that June was generally rainy or extremely hot and humid, atypical for what we are used to. She heard recently that June is the new July. I wonder what that means for July? The weather is certainly changing.
Squirrels deal with the heat by lying flat, like this little cutie was doing on a warm day. As I mentioned here, the first time we witnessed this, we thought the squirrel in question was sick. Fortunately, he was healthy and trying to stay cool.
When the stars align and we do get a truly beautiful summer day, I certainly like to get outside. For at last part of the day. But sometimes we stay inside and don’t feel guilty.
One partner, three different marriages. Dynamics and priorities are going to change when you are married for a long time. It’s all worth it. 🙂
When I first saw the title, chocolate depression cake, my first thought was cake to make when the world is too much. Which is always, lately. But this cake was made during the Great Depression with no eggs, butter, or milk. It sounds delicious!
Have a great weekend.
