Happy Sunday.
Pretty flowers as I am currently refusing to post a snow photo.
As far as I know, meteorology is still an inexact science, but the weather forecasters sure seem to have snowstorm prediction down pat. There used to be a time when a foot of snow was declared inevitable only to turn into a dusting. Those were the good old days.
Now every storm not only comes as expected but hits or exceeds the target snowfall. At least we can plan ahead and stay safe. Fortunately this past week, we got a foot of snow instead of the possible two feet of snow forecasted. Grateful for that. It’s the little things. 🙂
Now it just needs to work as well when a perfect sunny summer day is forecasted. 😉
What caught my eye this week
Friday marked one year since Russia invaded Ukraine. I’m amazed by their leader, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the people of Ukraine. The stories of their courage in the face of the unthinkable have been incredible.
President Jimmy Carter entered hospice care. What a life. I hope he is able to bask in all the beautiful accolades in his final days.
Silica gel packs to keep chips fresh. I have always wondered if they work when I pull them out of medication bottles. All I really know is that you aren’t supposed to eat them!
Be productive and then sit down. So true. Once I sit down in the evening, I am done.
Advice on aging from those who have been through it. I found the different and sometimes contradicting opinions really interesting.
I certainly wasn’t taught to call adults sir and ma’am, and for that I am glad. While I know in some circles it is meant as respectful, I don’t know many women who like being called ma’am.
Okay, I lied. One snow pic. This squirrel appeared as over the snow as the rest of us. He and his friends were seen the next day romping around and maybe having fun.
Have a cozy weekend.
