Happy weekend.
I find it funny how cats have to make anything new their thing. We bought a new rug for in front of the deck door. A spot to throw on my flip-flops to grab some fresh herbs from the deck for dinner.
Sure enough, as soon as the rug was down on the floor, the cats had to both intently inspect it and check out the new smells. Days later, I am still seeing them lying on it. Anything new attracts a cat. 🙂
We got a great view of the bison at the nearby state park a few days ago. The vegetation is really tall, and I wondered if we would be able to see them. As we were driving out of the park, there they were! The herd formed a line and was making its way to a different area of the park.
It has been so hot this week. I mentioned these chicken skewers a while ago, and we have been loving them! There is a post coming next week sharing the recipe. I have been looking through my other grill recipes to keep the heat out of the kitchen.
Last week, I mentioned I was looking forward to watching The Five Star Weekend. I had a feeling once I started, it would be hard to stop. It was so good! The cast was terrific. It has been a few years since I read the book, but I feel like it followed the story very closely.
Hubby and I have been enjoying Rooster. We had hesitated to watch it after seeing some mixed reviews, but don’t listen to them. It’s funny!! Easily one of the better comedies I have seen for a while.
