Weekend Randoms 6/7/2025

Happy weekend.

When a restaurant has salmon on the menu, it is a fair bet that I will order it. Unless it comes with side dishes I find objectionable, I can’t resist. I eat salmon for lunch at home about once a week, baked simply and in a salad. Ordering the dish when we go out lets me enjoy it in new ways. The pecan-crusted salmon was delicious!

How gorgeous is this berry chia seed pudding? I like to add either chia seeds or ground flaxseed to my overnight oats for texture and to boost the nutritional value. I tried a basic chia pudding, it was okay. This version looks way more than okay!

Water bottles keep us hydrated and have gotten elaborate in recent years. I have been happy with my Owala.

We were just discussing how watching a video can throw off your YouTube algorithms. My recommended videos are primarily exercise and fitness videos. But if I watch a video about a different topic, my For You Page suddenly becomes full of videos on that topic.

I will be the first to admit I didn’t always embrace recovery workouts. I wanted tough workouts with a consistently high heart rate. As I have gotten older, I have found the benefits of slowing down a day or two a week. Light cardio and yoga feel great.

In honor of Pride Month, Love Wins yoga with Adriene and Benji. I need to do this routine this weekend.
