Weekend Randoms 5/17/2025

Happy weekend!

I met two friends at a local park for lunch and found a catnip patch. Bella and Bailey have never been too affected by catnip, which still seems to be the case. They sniffed at it a bit, but that was about it.

I am excited about the Timberwolves! They advanced to the Western Conference Finals, moving one step closer to a first-ever trip to the finals for the franchise.

The NFL released the schedule for the upcoming season. The Vikings play two international games: one in Ireland and one in London a week later. They have never lost an international game; let’s hope that continues. They also play on Christmas Day and start the season on Monday night.

I could not agree more that these health and nutrition rules need to go away. I use canola oil when I need a neutral oil with a high smoke point. Processed foods can be very nutrient-dense and convenient. We eat fruit every day. While I like to get movement in every day, the magic 10,000 steps is not a concern for me.

Hubby and I just finished The Residence on Netflix. If you like a murder mystery, you will love it. I thought it was terrific.

The idea of a worry window is intriguing. If it would cut down on my brain race when I am trying to sleep, it might be worth a try.

The best margarita mixes for when you don’t feel like squeezing lime after lime. Sometimes a taco and a margarita are the perfect end to a day.

These darling little purple flowers were growing on the edge of our driveway. Clover, maybe? So cute.

Have a lovely weekend.
