Happy Sunday.
I pulled into the driveway this week and noticed the ash tree is finally starting to turn. Typically, that is our first tree to have its leaves change color. Since then, I have seen more yellow, orange, and red leaves developing around town. But I feel like it’s taking a while this year.
Despite the summer-ish temperature, I think the time has come to clean up the garden, herbs, and flowers. Not my favorite job. It brings home that winter is coming.
The Vikings have their bye week. Not that I wouldn’t still watch a lot of football. History says the Vikings are headed for one extreme or the other. I am just trying to enjoy the season and not get ahead of things, but it’s fun to dream.
Game 2 of the WNBA finals is this afternoon. The Lynx and the New York Liberty seem headed for a great series if game 1 is any indication.
Cozy books for fall. I just finished a book by Laurie Gilmore and loved the Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman. I would agree with the term cozy books.
We always have apples in the house, but I have never heard of the brown stem rule. I can’t wait to share a new apple muffin recipe soon. 🙂
One of these days, I am going to buy a pack of Kerrygold butter and see if it is worth the hype.
Have a cozy weekend.
