Happy weekend.
The time change crept up on me this year. I was pleasantly surprised to sleep through the extra hour. Since then, I have been waking up even earlier. Extra early for me is obscenely early for normal people. Some day, I hope to sleep until closer to sunrise.
Other than some type of peppermint mocha latte, I have no desire to race into the holiday season. Every year, Halloween seems to give way straight into Christmas. Everything goes from pumpkins and ghosts to jingle bells and snowmen. Nope.
For one thing, I found a mashed sweet potato bake recipe in Paprika. I have made it before, but only a couple of times, as hubby isn’t a huge fan of sweet potatoes. He did eat it and liked it. Proving it is indeed a keeper. That recipe has November/Thanksgiving written all over it. We bought a turkey this week. I am already looking forward to green bean casserole.
I am going to enjoy the coziness of November before winter and the holidays take over.
Football is my favorite part of fall. The Vikings surprised everyone, including me, by beating the Detroit Lions last weekend. The season has been uneven, to say the least, so far. Hopefully, that game is a start to good things.
My goal is to stay active and injury-free for many years to come.

The cats noticed the time change when we weren’t up at the expected time. There is a joke that you don’t need to set an alarm when you have a cat. From my experience, that is accurate.
Have a cozy weekend.
